Welcome to Mendera!
Mendera is an interior shop specialising in curating & mending unique vintage pieces for your home, founded and run by me, Melli. We have a shop in Viiskulma, Helsinki as well as online.
A little back story:
It all started from my love for vintage interior, design and arts. In mid-2021 I started to collect and mend interior items and in December 2022 Mendera online shop was opened. In September 2023 we opened our store in Viiskulma.
I’m especially enthusiastic about lighting so you’ll find a lot of unique lamps in the collection, alongside other interior pieces and occasional furniture. The collection is updated regularly and ranges from design pieces to unique handcrafted items.
Our mission at Mendera is to help create unique interior spaces sustainably. All items are thoroughly inspected, tested, cleaned and repaired according to their individual needs. We mend most of the items ourselves, but for more advanced replacements and work we team up with profssionals in the fields. Our electrician can also make changes to any lamp you'd like to purchase from us, e.g. cable extensions.
Our shop is located in Viiskulma at Laivurinkatu 41 (Helsinki). The shop is open Thursdays & Fridays 14-18 & Saturdays 12-16. We also update the opening hours on our Instagram incase of any changes.

We only sell pre-loved vintage at Mendera. We try to gather and share as much information as possible about each product. Eg. their history, materials, age, maker and origin.
We love to repair and extend the lifespan of interior items, therefore we clean, repair or fix all items according to their needs before listing them for sale. Any imperfections will be mentioned.
We use recycled and/or recyclable packaging materials only. This means preused cardboard boxes, bubble wrap and newspaper.
At the time we only ship local, but we are planning on expanding to European shipping in the future.
